rpmsg: char: Fix use-after-free on probe error path
rpmsg_chrdev_probe() stores the newly allocated eptdev in the default
endpoint's priv pointer before calling rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add(). If
rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add() then fails, its error path frees eptdev while

add_device_complete() runs from the hci_cmd_sync_work kworker, which

| CVE-2026-53234 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ibm: emac: Fix use-after-free during device removal
The driver was using devm_register_netdev() which causes unregister_netdev()
to be deferred until the devres cleanup phase, which runs after emac_remove()
returns. This creates a use-after-free window where:
1. emac_remove() is called, which tears down hardware (cancels work, detaches
modules, unregisters from MAL)
2. emac_remove() returns
3. devres cleanup runs and | HIGH | 7.8 | 25 June 2026 | no fixed version published |
| CVE-2026-53233 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netdev: fix double-free in netdev_nl_bind_rx_doit()
Sashiko flags that genlmsg_reply() always consumes the skb.
The error path calls nlmsg_free(rsp) so we can't jump directly
to it. Let's not unbind, just propagate the error to the user.
This is the typical way of handling genlmsg_reply() failures.
They shouldn't happen unless user does something silly like
calling the kernel with an already-full rcvbuf. | HIGH | 7.8 | 25 June 2026 | no fixed version published |
| CVE-2026-53195 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: io_ti: fix heap overflow in build_i2c_fw_hdr()
build_i2c_fw_hdr() allocates a fixed-size buffer of
(16*1024 - 512) + sizeof(struct ti_i2c_firmware_rec) bytes, then
copies le16_to_cpu(img_header->Length) bytes into it without
validating that Length fits within the available space after the
firmware record header.
img_header->Length is a __le16 from the firmware file and can be
up to 65535. check_fw_sanity() valida | HIGH | 7.8 | 25 June 2026 | no fixed version published |
| CVE-2026-53157 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: phonet: free phonet_device after RCU grace period
phonet_device_destroy() removes a phonet_device from the per-net device
list with list_del_rcu(), but frees it immediately. RCU readers walking
the same list can still hold a pointer to the object after it has been
removed, leading to a slab-use-after-free.
Use kfree_rcu(), matching the lifetime rule already used by
phonet_address_del() for the same object type. | HIGH | 7.8 | 25 June 2026 | no fixed version published |
| CVE-2026-53156 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmem: core: fix use-after-free bugs in error paths
Fix several instances of error paths in which we call
__nvmem_device_put() - which may end up freeing the underlying memory
and other resources - and then keep on using the nvmem structure. Always
put the reference to the nvmem device as the last step before returning
the error code. | HIGH | 7.8 | 25 June 2026 | no fixed version published |
Showing the 50 most severe of 89 advisories that reach 7.1. A release matched by this many advisories is matched by every fix published on its own line, so the count is a reason to take the newest build rather than a list to work through.
A further 397 advisories publish no version range, so whether they reach 7.1 cannot be determined from the advisory alone.
Where to move next
The newest tracked release is 7.2.3. If moving release is not an option yet, 7.1.13 is the newest build on the 7.1 line and needs no migration.

You just looked this up by hand, for one version
StackDrift scans your machines, works out every version you actually run, and mails you before the next support window closes or a CVE lands on a build you have deployed. It covers the runtimes, operating systems and kernels underneath your code, not just your packages.
